Attributed to Thomas Harvey Esq (British,18th century), Two studies of a hound, oils on board, attribution to Harvey inscription on backboard. Harvey was an amateur painter and art collector in Norwich in the late 18th /19th century and patron of the East Anglian artist John Berney Crome a founder member of the Norwich School. The hounds are from the locally based "friendly hunt", hounds of the Necton Pack. Provenance: From the Blake family owners of Necton Hall in the 19th/20th century and thence by family descent, 30x37cm, framed and glazed. (2)
