Swaffham’s Visual Arts Festival has announced a new headline sponsor for its flagship Art Exhibition.
Keys Auctioneers and Valuers, the Aylsham-based auction house which has an international reputation for championing East Anglian Art, is stepping in to support the Festival.
The Festival ran for ten years from 2010 to 2019, and returned with the flagship exhibition in 2021 after a year’s hiatus due to the pandemic. This year’s three day Exhibition of work by local artists at Swaffham’s Town Hall runs from 28th-30th October.
Festival sponsor Keys is providing financial support, as well as marketing expertise and help in kind to help make the Festival a success.
“East Anglia Art has always been a major strand of what we offer at Keys, and our three East Anglian Art Sales every year are recognised as being the most important sales of work by artists from the region anywhere in the world,” said Marc Knighton, head of pictures at Keys.
“The Swaffham Visual Arts Festival is one of the major celebrations of local artists, so when they approached us looking for support, it was a very easy decision to make.”
The Festival is organised by Swaffham Rotary, and as well as championing local artists, the Festival has raised close to £160,000 for good causes.
Festival chairman Stephen Ward said, “We are delighted to welcome Keys as our as sponsor. Not only does their support mean we can continue to develop the Festival as something for people in Swaffham to enjoy, but equally importantly, we will once again be able to raise thousands of pounds for charity in the process.
